Rock singer Awie has confirmed that he is engaged to Sharifah Ladyana, who is also known as Lady.
According to The Star via AsiaOne,
news of his engagement broke when a photo of the woman in an engagement
outfit together with Awie's two daughters started circulating on the
internet.
Awie said:
"Yes, I am engaged and all the facts stated before this are true."
The 48-year-old added that he did not announce his engagement previously as he considered it to be a private family matter.
He said that he chose Lady, who is an AirAsia employee, as his future
wife to help with his family and added that his children had given
their blessings.
The singer was previously married to actress and singer Arni Nazira in 1998 before they separated in 2006.
He was also married to Rozana Misbun in 2005 but divorced later that year.
